In the recently released 2014 Home Listing Report from Coldwell Banker, Milton has earned a spot in the top 100 most expensive markets in the country, coming in at 99.
According to the giant real estate agency, the average price for a home in Milton is $647,052.94.

The report covered 1,971 markets that had at least 10 of the designated-sized homes listed during the first six months of the year according to the Boston Globe.
In Massachusetts, Milton is the 21st most expensive town to purchase a home.

The top market was Los Altos, CA, a city in the San Francisco Bay Area, with an average price of $1.96 million for a home.
In addition, California towns took 11 of the top 13 spots. The most expensive home from outside the state is Wellesley, MA, coming in at number 10 with an average home price of just under $1.1 million.
In the area, multiple towns from the South Shore ranked high on the list with Cohasset at 18th, Hingham 23rd, Norwell 61st, and Scituate 105th.
