Updated: More Natick Runners Confirmed Safe

14 of nearly 40 Natick runners had finished the Boston Marathon before the explosion

Monday Night: On Monday night we also received word that Kim Ching and Karen Chin Coburn were both safe. They were still running in the race when the explosion occurred and were just one block away when it happened, according to their mother, Charlie Ching, who posted the message on our Facebook Page Wall.

Patch reader Scott Shuster was kind enough to inform us that Natick runner Marcelo Perez-Verzini is safe as well.

Through our Facebook Page, we have been communicating with readers to find out if Natick residents who ran in today's Boston Marathon are safe.

We have been told that Paul Joseph, Kat Williams, Michelle Easton, Dianne Bascik and Justin Voldman are safe.

In addition, large number of Natick runners were participating in today's Boston Marathon, and while it's not a scientific method if determining all of their safety, 14 of them had completed the race before the explosion occurred.
