NYC Children Come to Natick as Part of Fresh Air Fund
Families in the area, including Natick, are welcoming 21 children from New York City into their homes this week.

New York City children, 21 of them, arrive in Natick on July 30, welcomed into families throughout the community as part of the Fresh Air Fund, and head to families in Waban, Natick, Wayland, Concord, Needham, Yarmouth, North Grafton, Peabody, West Newton, Lake George, Merrimac, Acton, and Newton Center.
The Metro West of Boston Committee welcomes the children, introducing them to their respective volunteer host families, who host these kids for up to two weeks each.
Fresh Air children are ages six to 18 and leave behind the city streets to run barefoot in the grass or see the stars at night. Some children are leaving home for the first time, while others are returning to visit the same host families for consecutive summers, said the announcement.
