Bridge In Natick Closed After Accidental Damage
The bridge over MBTA tracks was closed on Thursday afternoon. It's unclear when it will reopen.

NATICK, MA β The Boden Lane bridge in Natick was closed Thursday afternoon after workers clearing vegetation accidentally damaged the span. It's unclear when the bridge will reopen.
The bridge is one of a handful of crossings over the MBTA tracks near Framingham, and Boden Lane serves as a connector between West Central Street and Hartford Street.
"While vegetation management was being completed last night the Boden Lane Bridge was accidentally hit, damaging the structurally integrity of the structure. The bridge is owned and maintained by MassDOT. This afternoon MassDOT inspected the bridge and closed it to all traffic, including pedestrians," the town of Natick said in a statement Thursday afternoon.

Natick offered shuttle rides to commuters on Thursday evening, but did not say what a longer-term solution might be.
"The Town will be working with our Commonwealth partners as we assess long-term solutions and will provide further information as it becomes available," the statement continued. "We recognize that this is an inconvenience to many of our residents and thank you in advance for your patience and understanding."

The Boden Lane bridge is located between the downtown Framingham area and Fisk Pond.
