NATICK, MA β€” Natick police and the Middlesex County District Attorney's Office are investigating a woman's death at a senior living community, officials said Wednesday.

The woman, who was in her 30s, was found dead around 4 p.m. Tuesday after police and firefighters responded to a 911 call. Authorities said the woman had experienced "apparent trauma" before her death.

"The preliminary investigation suggests that this is not a random event and there is no threat to the public," the DA's office said in a statement Tuesday.

The woman was found in a room at the Avalon development at 1 Chrysler Road. The investigation was ongoing as of Wednesday morning.

"Please keep the victim and her family and friends in your thoughts as you prepare for the Thanksgiving holiday," Natick police wrote in a Facebook post about the death.
