She probably never thought her trip to the Natick Mall food court would change her life.

NATICK, MA β€” A holiday shopping trip to the Natick Mall provided a Lowell woman with $4 million worth of holiday miracle.

Neag Peov, of Lowell, was eating lunch in the food court with her husband when she decided to take a chance on some Lottery tickets at the Happy Corner store. She scratched the tickets at the mall, and one of them - a 100x instant ticket worth $10 - was a $4 million winner.

The couple visited Lottery headquarters in Braintree Monday morning to claim the prize. Peov took the cash option, getting her a one-time payment of $2.6 million (less tax withholdings.) She said she plans to pay off her mortgage and invest in retirement.
