John Dowd, Lifelong Natick Resident, Dies at 17

NATICK, MA— Roger and Regan (Walsh) Dowd sadly announce the passing of their beloved son, John Buckley Dowd, 17, on June 4, 2016.

John was born in Boston on May 24, 1999 the son of Roger D. Dowd and Regan (Walsh) Dowd of Natick.

Besides his parents, he is survived by his maternal grandfather Robert Walsh of Guilford, CT and the late Marylou (Hayes) Walsh and his paternal grandparents, Roger Dowd and Carolyn (Barry) Dowd of Westwood. He was the nephew of Patricia and Paul Connearney of Franklin; Jill Nelson Dowd and David Nelson of Melrose; Peter Walsh of Brooklyn, NY; Thomas and Cheryl (White) Walsh of Clinton, CT and great-nephew of Anne Hayes of Bridgeport, CT. Also survived by several cousins and many friends.

John attended Natick High School and currently was a day student at the Northshore Recovery Day School in Beverly as a junior.

John loved music of all varieties and enjoyed time spent with his family and friends. He has been a lifelong resident of Natick.

Visitations were held on Friday, June 10, 2016 from 3:00 to 7:00 pm at the John C. Bryant Funeral Home, 56 Pemberton Road (off Rte 30), Wayland. 

In lieu of flowers, his family kindly suggests that gifts of remembrance in John’s memory be sent to Friends of Northshore Education Consortium, 112 Sohier Road, Beverly, MA 01915.
