NATICK, MA β€” The region is ending the week on a warm note and Friday should close us out with temperatures in the high 80s.

The United States Postal Service has been on the tip of everyone's tongues and one local fire department had a direct hand in saving it β€” from a fire, that is. Natick responded Thursday morning to a fully engulfed USPS truck near the intersection of Grant and East Central streets in the downtown area.

Luckily that's just three blocks east of the main fire station, and firefighters were able to quickly put out the flames. So quickly that they were able to save most of the mail and packages in the truck, the department reported.
