Movie Filmed in Natick Earns Numerous Golden Globe Nominations

Back in March actor Christian Bale was seen in Natick filming scenes for "American Hustle," a movie based on the ABSCAM investigation in the 1970s and 80s.

On Thursday, it was announced that Bale's movie was nominated for multiple awards for next month's Golden Globes.

According to the Golden Globes website, "American Hustle" is up for:

• Best Actor in a Motion Picture, Musical or Comedy (Bale);
• Best Actress In A Motion Picture, Musical or Comedy (Amy Adams);
  
• Best Director - Motion Picture (David O. Russell);
  
• Best Supporting Actor in a Motion Picture (Bradley Cooper);
  
• Best Supporting Actress in a Motion Picture (Jennifer Lawrence);
• Best Screenplay — Motion Picture (Eric Warren Singer, David O. Russell);
  
• Best Motion Picture — Comedy or Musical.

The Golden Globes is the first awards show of the year and is scheduled to air Jan. 12 on NBC. Tina Fey and Amy Poehler will return to host the show.
