Natick 180 To Host Teen Depression Awareness Program

The March 18 webinar will explore signs of depression and resources for parents.

NATICK, MA β€” Natick 180, the towns addiction and recovery resource, will host a webinar this week focusing on the signs and symptoms of teen depression β€” an issue brought to the fore during the coronavirus pandemic.

The COVID-19 pandemic has impacted the mental health of many people, including teens and young adults, across the world. Understanding of mental health concerns is imperative in combating the crisis that we currently face and will continue to encounter. The Natick 180 coalition is partnering with Families for Depression Awareness on a virtual program on March 18th from 7 to 8 p.m. titled "Understanding Teen Depression."

The webinar will discuss signs and symptoms of depression, crisis resources, and when and where to go for help. Webinar participants will have the opportunity to ask questions about teen depression. The event will be led by a licensed mental health clinician and featured teen speakers sharing their personal journeys. The program is free and open to the public.
