Natick Company Selected to Work With NASA

Technology tends to trend downward in size, smaller cars, smaller cell phones and now smaller space satellites; at least that's what NASA wants to do.
They've selected three companies to develop miniature thrusters that would be used on satellites as small as four inches on each side and weighing less than 3 pounds.
Among the companies developing this technology is Busek Company, Inc. of Natick. 
"For over 25 years, Busek Co. Inc. has been working to develop electric propulsion (EP) for spacecraft culminating in flight demonstration missions on small satellites," Busek says on their website.
NASA says they hope by developing the technology at the small scale they will be able to adapt the technology to bigger spacecrafts, saving space and energy.
