Natick Diner Has Best Hot Dog In MA: Ranking

NATICK, MA — Lists of the best of this or that in every state are often a little questionable. But a new ranking says Casey's Diner in Natick has the best hot dog in Massachusetts — an honor that's well deserved, and proven by a literal century of rave reviews.

The latest to tout Casey's dogs is the United Kingdom-based site loveFOOD, which placed the diner on top in Massachusetts, according to an article published Tuesday on MSN.

"Casey's 10-stool dining car has been serving customers since 1922 and people still come today to experience a slice of history and to try the famous steamed hot dogs. Locals and visitors alike love the spot and recommend the consistently-good hot dog," the site said, relying on Yelp reviews for the best-in-Massachusetts rating.

But this is not the first time Casey's and its copper hot dog steamer have attracted fans.

Casey's was a stop on one man's hot dog journey and has previously been ranked one of the best hot dog spots in the state (and again here).

The 1922 Worcester Lunch Car Company diner, listed on the National Register of Historic Places, has room for only about 10 people — about the same number of "all-around" style (with mustard, onions and relish) dogs you might be able to put away if no one was watching.
