Natick Hit-And-Run Court Case Concludes: Report

NATICK, MA — Prosecutors have wrapped up a case involving a 17-year-old charged in connection to a serious August hit-and-run in Natick, according to Boston 25.

The teen's case concluded on Tuesday, the station reported. Detail about how the case ended were not available because of the person is a juvenile.

The teen was charged with leaving the scene of a personal injury accident, leaving the scene of property damage, two counts of operating under the influence of drugs causing serious bodily injury, operating a motor vehicle without a license and failure to stop. Prosecutors said the teen was using marijuana when the Aug. 18 crash happened.

According to police, Kimberly Gunner, 51, and Andy Colbert, 39, were taking an evening walk along Washington Avenue when the teen drove a pickup truck onto the sidewalk and hit them.

Colbert was released from the hospital the next day. Gunner, who was impaled on a wooden fence, spent weeks in the hospital after the accident, and is still recovering.

Police located the pickup truck the day after the incident at a home in Holliston. The teen was not charged until Sept. 1.

A spokesperson from the Middlesex County DA’s office on Wednesday could not provide further details on how the case was settled due to juvenile’s age.
