Natick Man Charged With Child Porn Possession

NATICK, MA—A Natick man is facing a charge of child pornography possession, allegedly after posting photos to an online sharing service.

Joshua Bemis, 28, was charged in federal court in Boston on Friday with one count of possession of child pornography, and ordered detained pending a hearing.

Law enforcement from the United Kingdom reached out to federal authorities in the U.S. about a person whose IP address was traced to Bemis's Natick house, an said that child pornography had been posted to a sharing website from the address, according to court documents. Authorities searched Bemis's home, seized his laptop hard drive, and found hundreds of videos of children, including some that depicted the rape of children as young as seven.

Bemis could get up to 20 years in prison if convicted.
