Natick Native Member of SWAT Team that Captured Bombing Suspect

Natick residents beamed proudly when they heard that one of their own helped capture the second bombing suspect in Watertown on Friday.

One of the four members of the Transit Police SWAT Team that made the arrest of Dzhokhar Tsarnaev in Watertown on Friday night grew up in Natick, according to many town residents who contacted Patch via email and responded to our Facebook Page.

Officer Jeff Campbell is a Natick native who attended Natick High School in the mid-80s. He can be seen along with the other three members of the SWAT team that captured the second bombing suspect in this CBS News interview discussing their strategy to gain control of the suspect and what they were thinking while they were making the arrest.

The suspect is currently in the hospital, where he has reportedly admitted to detonating the bombs.
