Natick Receives Green Community Grants for $125,000
As one of the green communities in Massachusetts, Natick was eligible for special grants.

On WednesdayΒ the Department of Energy Resources announced grants for 20 Massachusetts communities to help fund green initiatives.
Natick was among the communities, landing 25 grants valued at a total of more than $125,000.
βThe cities and towns receiving these awards have already shown outstanding clean energy leadership β first by doing the work to become Green Communities and then by carrying out important energy efficiency and renewable energy projects funded through their initial grants,βΒ Department of Energy Resources Commissioner Mark SylviaΒ said.
Natick is one of 110 communities in the commonwealth to be recognized as a green community.
