Solid Turnout at Polls Midway Through Election Day

Today's election has just one item on the ballot: the primary for U.S. Senator to replace John Kerry, who is now United States Secretary of State.

The Natick Town Election three weeks ago had a very poor voter turnout.

When the official results came out, the voter turnout was in the 10 percent range. This could've been for a variety of reasons, notably the lack of contested races (there were just two).

Today, the entire state is voting in the special primary election for U.S. Senate. This election became necessary when John Kerry became United States Secretary of State, and here in Natick it looks like more people have been interested in voting today than they were on April 9.
