Supply Drive In Natick For National Pet Day

A contact-free drive at the Natick Sons and Daughters of Italy will mark the year's biggest day for pets.

NATICK, MA β€” The dogs days of spring are here β€” and also the cat days, goldfish days and parakeet days.

For National Pet Day, which will officially be recognized Sunday, the Natick Sons and Daughters of Italy will host a daylong supply drive for local shelters. The supplies will go to the local nonprofits Stray Pets In Need (Wellesley), MetroWest Humane Society (Ashland) and BayPath Humane Society (Hopkinton).

There are some specific pet supplies the sponsors are asking for: non-clumping cat litter, hand towels, canned food, dry dog and cat food, pet deodorizers and household cleaner, potty training pads, gift cards to pet stores, dish detergent and trash bags.
