'Take A Good Look At What Your Kids Are Playing With': Natick PD

NATICK, MA—Police investigators from Natick are getting closer to figuring out who the three people involved in shooting out windows in town are.

As the department edges closer, police wanted to use the opportunity to share a message. On their Facebook page, Natick police shared a photo of a pistol that was believed to have been used in the window shootouts. It is an air pistol, a "toy."

"That pistol is shown here along with the pistol we carry as a service weapon," said police. "We take our job seriously. We, at times, encounter individuals who will do us harm. If this "toy" was mistakenly believed about to cause harm to us or any other individual for that matter, it would be met with a most negative response. As parents we ask that you take a long look at what your children are playing with and educate them on the danger their decisions may bring. None of us can afford the consequences of failing to have that conversation."

Last week, Natick police received multiple reports of windows being shot out with a BB gun. Incidents have been logged on Mercer, Porter, Pelham, Nolan and Burning Tree Road, according to police. Several thousand dollars in damage was caused by these individuals.
