Tickets Still Available For 11th Annual Flutie Bowl at Kings

Since its inception, Flutie Bowl has raised more than $600,000 for Framingham-based The Doug Flutie, Jr., Foundation for Autism, which provides services and supports to local children and families living with autism.

Join local sports hero and former New England Patriots quarterback DougΒ Flutie, along with personalities from New England’s most beloved sports teams, local radio, and television, at theΒ 11th annualΒ FlutieΒ BowlΒ onΒ Tuesday, Jan. 28 from 6 to 10 p.m.Β at KINGS, located inΒ Legacy Place in Dedham.

Since its inception,Β FlutieΒ BowlΒ has raised more than $600,000 for The DougΒ Flutie, Jr., Foundation for Autism, which provides services and supports to local children and families living with autism.Β 

All proceeds will benefit the Framingham-based Foundation, a charity that Doug and his wife, Laurie, established in honor of their son Doug, Jr., who was diagnosed with autism at age 3.Β

Before doors open atΒ 6 p.m.Β for the celebrityΒ bowlingΒ tournament, 14 families of children with autism have been chosen to come andΒ bowlΒ (3:30 to 5 p.m.) for free. During that time the venue will create an autism-friendly environment.

Once the familyΒ bowlingΒ is complete, the celebrityΒ bowlingΒ tournament will begin. Celebrity bowlers will be paired with corporate teams from Mazda, Eastern Bank, Instaflex, Irving Oil, Ocean Spray, and Sam Adams Beer.Β

The 11th annualΒ FlutieΒ BowlΒ will also feature exciting raffles and silent auction items including, authentic autographed sports memorabilia, weekend getaways, spa services and several other one-of-a-kind items. Guests will enjoy cocktails and hors d’oeuvres, as well as a special performance by theΒ FlutieΒ Brother’s Band featuring DougΒ FlutieΒ on the drums.

β€œFlutieΒ BowlΒ is a special event that Laurie and I look forward to every January. For us,Β FlutieΒ BowlΒ marks a New Year and another opportunity for our Foundation to continue its mission in supporting families affected by Autism Spectrum Disorder,” said DougΒ Flutie, President and co-founder of theΒ FlutieΒ Foundation in a press release. β€œWe invite everyone to join us for a fun night ofΒ bowling, with good food and good company at the 11thΒ AnnualΒ FlutieBowl. Good times are sure to be had!"
