Twenty-fifth Annual After Prom Party Will Have Mardi Gras Theme
The After Prom Party will begin at midnight on Friday, May 24 and end at 5 a.m. on May 25 at Natick High School.
For the 25th consecutive year, juniors and seniors at Natick High School, along with their prom guests, will have the opportunity to continue the fun after the prom ends by heading to the After Prom Party.
This year's theme is Mardi Gras and will be held in the new Natick High School.
"The After Prom Party was a perfect way to have fun with friends, be safe and get a lot of free stuff at the same time," Lily Von Der Lieth, a senior last year, said after last year's party. "There is stuff to do for everyone and it's a great way to have some free fun."

Some of the activities that will be taking place at the party are laser tag, t-shirt art, a casino, fortune tellers, a rock climbing wall and bungee trampoline. There will also be a DJ playing music throughout the night.
The event, which is organized exclusively by parent volunteers who work tirelessly to ensure that the party is as good as it can be, will also have big prize giveaways for students who attend. Some of the giveaways include TVs, iPod, iTouch, concert tickets (including Dave Matthews Band) and gift cards to several restaurants.

Attendance to the After Prom Party has gone up quite a bit in recent years, nearly doubling last year when about 400 students attended. Jean Whitney, the chair of the event, has a motto of "Build it and they will come."
"Last year we made some significant changes to the After Prom Party," Whitney said. "We listened to the kids about what they wanted at their party."
There will also be plenty of food for students to eat, highlighted by a Mexican station and a plethora of sandwiches and miscellaneous munchies.
"The After Prom Party is an amazing event," student Eleni Kovatsis said. "It is a safe way for students to enjoy their night after prom, but that does not limit the fun. Last year there were some awesome activities set up, like a mechanical bull, t-shirt making and laser tag, not to mention all the food. After Prom is definitely one of the most fun parts of prom night."
All Natick High School juniors and seniors are invited to the After Prom Party whether they attend the prom or not. Their guests are also invited. Because of fundraising efforts, the event is free to all students.
