Two Firefighters Treated for Heat Exhaustion After Blaze

Heat exhaustion was a threat during the four-alarm fire on Pleasant Street South.

Natick firefighters were on the scene of a blaze for more than four hours MondayΒ as temperatures reached into the mid and upperΒ 80s.

According to Deputy Chief Daniel Dow two firefighters were taken to the hospital for heat exhaustion. The have both since been released.

Firefighters from several surrounding towns also assisted at the Pleasant Street SouthΒ scene but none sustained injuries.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation.

"I don't want to speculate on the cause of the fire, but it was electrical in nature," Dow said.

The house was deemed uninhabitable, but no residents were injured during the fire.
