
TheΒ United Way of Tri-Countyβs recognition event is an annual breakfast
that highlights the achievements of those who "Give, Advocate and Volunteer."
These special friends and members of the United Way family will join together on Thursday, March 28, at theΒ Sheraton Framingham HotelΒ to honor those individuals and companies that have made an impact in their local communities within the MetroWest/495 Corridor.
This year the top awardβthe Summit Awardβwill be given to theΒ TJX CompaniesΒ andΒ FM Global for their overwhelming consistent support of the United Way of Tri-County.

The Framingham-based United Way of Tri-County organization serves 34Β communities in three counties: Norfolk, Middlesex and Worcester, including Natick.
For the second year, the United Way of Tri-County will present a MetroWest/495 Corridor Volunteer of the Year Award. This year the recipient is Debbie Beausoleil, a volunteer at the Marlborough Senior Center. This inspirational 85-year-old was selected by a panel of community leaders including: Timothy Fahey,Β Middlesex Savings Bank; Bethany Dumas,Β TD Bank; Jack Caulfield, board chairman, United Way of Tri-County; Michael Tanaglia, Rev. Dr. J. Anthony Lloyd,Β Greater Framingham Community Church; Dr. Susanne Conley, Framingham State University and Robert Lamprey,Β Mutual One Bank.
The Presidentβs Award will be presented to Dr. Timothy Flanagan, president ofΒ Framingham State UniversityΒ and the Lifetime Achievement Award will be presented to Gerry Gaw, former superintendent of Clinton Public Schools.
As an example of this yearβs BOLD theme, formerΒ Boston Bruin Derek Sanderson will be the guest speaker sharing his story of redemption and his own bold steps to put his life back on track.Β Sanderson will also discuss aΒ new film about his life directed by Ed Burns, which is currently in pre-production.
