Aly Raisman Takes the Lead on Dancing With the Stars
Top scores from the judges put Aly Raisman and partner Mark Ballas at the top of the leader board in last night's episode.

Last night's Dancing With the StarsΒ performance by Needham's Aly Raisman and partner Mark Ballas was the pair's best yet, as they vaulted to the top of the leader board.
Raisman and Ballas scored nine out of 10 from all three judges in the fourth week of the show, for 27 out of 30 possible points.Β

Dancing a contemporary routine to "Titanium," Raisman said she was inspired by summer 2012, when she competed in the London Olympics, winning bronze and gold medals.
"Summer 2012 was the best year of my life beacuse I got to represent the U.S. at the Olympic games," Raisman said. "This contemporary dance is definitely a challenge, but I want to nail it, hopefully, so I can be part of the next best year of my life."

Raisman and Ballas appeared to nail their routine, as they received high praise from the judges.Β
"Forget titanium, you're going for gold, my darling," said Judge Bruno Tonioli.Β
Judge Carrie Ann Inaba called Raisman and Ballas' routine "profound," and complimented Raisman for her perfection of emotion, whileΒ Judge Len Goodman called it a dance worthy of an Olympic champion.
All three judges gave Raisman and Ballas scores of nine, adding up to 27 out of a possible 30. It was the highest total yet for the pair. One couple will be voted off on tonight's results episode of Dancing With the Stars.
Last week, Raisman and BallasΒ danced a Viennese Waltz for a "Prom Night"-themed episode.
