The Ellie Fund Launches 2014 Do Good Campaign in Conjunction with Breast Cancer Awareness Month
Dozens of Massachusetts businesses to help patients and their families.

From Arianna Skin Care and Winters Home Services to Hannaford Supermarkets, Dependable Cleaners and Mass Save, businesses large and small are coming together to be part of the Ellie Fundβs Do Good Campaign in conjunction with National Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
The Ellie Fund, based in Needham, is a nonprofit organization that fights breast cancer by easing its effects on women, men and families. This unique organization provides critical support services including transportation, childcare, housekeeping, groceries, and nutritious meals free of charge to hundreds of women and family members across Massachusetts each year.
Through 2014βs Do Good Campaign, the Ellie Fund hopes to raise $100,000; enough money to provide two months of critical support services to 100 local women, men and their family members who are undergoing treatment for breast cancer.

Dozens of businesses throughout Massachusetts have made donations and created special offers, promotions and fundraising programs in support of the Do Good Campaign. The Fashion Project has a dedicated a discount page where a portion of every sale benefits the Ellie Fund. Brighton Collectibles in Natick will donate for every Power of Pink bracelet sold and host a VIP event on October 5th at the Natick Mall. Boston area restaurant, The Local, created a special pink dessert and cocktail to be served at their three locations with all profits being donated. Businesses like AMP Agency will host β#31daysofboobs,β an employee engagement program to benefit the Ellie Fund while both Dedham Savings Bank and Needham Bank have generously βadoptedβ Ellie Fund families in need.
Founded in 1995, the Ellie Fund was founded by brothers Jeff and Eliot Popkin to honor their motherβs courageous fight against breast cancer. βAll of our partner businesses understand that breast cancer affects the whole family and with their help, we are honored to provide critical support to so many families,β said Jeff Popkin.

The Do Good Campaign also includes a full calendar of special events and fundraisers. The Hard Rock CafΓ© in Boston will host two live music events as well as Monday Night Football gatherings. Chestnut Hill Square will offer a special SoulCycle Spin Class and luncheon at Seasons 52 hosted by radio personality Sue Brady. Television personality Susan Wornick will host an evening of fashion and fundraising at Wendy Wheelerβs Sudbury location which will include a fashion show featuring breast cancer survivors and Ellie Fund advocates. On November 1st at The Place in Boston, The Slater Foundation will host its third annual Halloween for Hope bash, bringing together 300 of Bostonβs young professional philanthropists to support the Ellie Fundβs mission.
