MBTA Weekend Commuter Rail Service To Resume Along Entire Needham Line
The MBTA has announced that Weekend Service will return to all MBTA Commuter Rail lines beginning July 3rd.

The MBTA has announced that Weekend Service will return to all MBTA Commuter Rail lines beginning July 3rd. This includes service along the entire Needham line on both Saturdays and Sundays. While the Select Board recommended to the MBTA that weekend service begin and end at the Needham Junction station to reduce noise, the MBTA has determined that it will run trains along the entire line in order to provide consistent service for riders. The Select Board will continue to explore options for reducing train horn noise in the areas around grade crossings.
