Needham Boys' Basketball Get 2nd Seed In D1 South Tournament
The girls' team will enter the postseason as the 10th seed.
NEEDHAM, MA — It's tournament time for high school sports in Massachusetts and Needham is the once again team to beat entering the MIAA Division 1 South boys' basketball tournament.
The Rockets have been awarded the second seed in the Division 1 South tournament and will start postseason play against No. 15 Taunton Feb. 28 at 6:30 p.m. The winner will play the winner of No. 7 New Bedford vs. No. 10 Brookline.
In the girls' bracket, the Rockets have been awarded the 10th seed and will travel to seventh-ranked Walpole for a March 1 first round showdown at 6:30 p.m. The winner moves on to a quarterfinal round game against the winner of No. 2 Braintree vs. No. 15 Plymouth North.
