Needham Family Dog Show Rained Out, Rescheduled

The Needham Family Dog Show originally was scheduled for Sunday, Oct. 6. Keen weather observers may have noticed the weather was not ideal for a dog show. 

With the show rained out, organizers have rescheduled the event, slated for the Quarry at Claxton Field to later in the month. Dog owners around town should stop by on October 20, according to an announcement on the Needham Dog Park website. 

News of the rain-out lead to a series of disappointed pup photos posted to the Needham Dogs Lovers Facebook page. 

Needhamites were invited to enter their pup into the contest, with prizes going to best pup-owner lookalikes, highest jumper, and waggiest tails. Forms and more information about signing up your pup for the dog show are on the Dog Park website. 

The Dog Show is being organized by the Needham Dog Park Working Group, who are hoping to build a park on a half-acre at the old Nike missile site, near Needham Community Farms.
