Needham Girls Soccer Captures Regional Championship
The Lady Rockets beat Whitman-Hanson to advance to the State Division 1 tournament.

The Needham High School girls soccer team defeated Whitman-Hanson Saturday morning to earn the South Division 1 title.
The Lady Rockets narrowly won by a final score of 2-1. The game was played on neutral field at Marshfield High School.

In victory, Needham advanced to the State Division 1 tournament. They will next play opposite Lincoln-Sudbury on Tuesday night. The winner will advance to the state championship game.
Needham has now posted victories in three straight playoff games, upping their record on the season to 20-0-2.
