Needham Police Log: Closing the Door After the Car Bolted, Fake Cards, and More!

• A car reportedly drove into a fence at a Highland Avenue business, around 9:45 a.m. The driver told police that the vehicle "bolted" when he was pulling into a parking space. No one was injured, the damage was documented, and the car was towed.
• Someone on Gary Road told police that someone bought merchandise from Walmart's website using her credit card, and had it sent to a Georgia address before 1:30 p.m. She has spoken to her credit card company, which is looking into the incident.

• Minor property damage reported in a card at about 11 a.m. at the Dedham Avenue intersection with Bradford Street. Police oversaw the exchange of information, and estimate the damage was less than $1000.
• Following a crash on Valley Road, one of the drivers reportedly left the scene. Police tracked down that driver, and oversaw the exchange of information. 

• 5:15 p.m., credit card fraud reported at a Perry Drive residence, when a Discover Card application was filed in the name of the resident and one other person. The Discover Card fraud department is currently looking into it.

• Three credit cards were reportedly opened fraudulently in the name of a resident of Warren Street before 3:30 p.m. The cards were canceled and a fraud alert issued.
