Needham Police Recover Stolen Plates, Arrest Driver on Warrant

30-year-old Benjamin Kyamera, of Marlboro, was arrested Tuesday following a traffic stop on Chapel Street.

A Marlboro man was arrested Tuesday during a traffic stop after Needham police discovered the man had a revoked license and was driving with stolen license plates.

Around 2:30 p.m., an officer observed a vehicle driving on Chapel St. with an expired inspection sticker. After initiating a traffic stop, the officer learned that both the vehicle’s registration and operator’s license had been revoked. The officer also discovered attached license plates.

The driver, 30-year-old Benjamin Kyamera, also had a warrant for his arrest out of Natick District Court, police said. Kyamera was arrested at the scene.

He was charged with operating a vehicle with a suspended license, operating an uninsured vehicle, operating an unregistered vehicle, attaching plates and an inspection violation.

The vehicle was towed from the scene to a lot on Chapel St.
