UPDATE: Needham Public Schools Closing Early Thursday

The Needham Public Schools will be opening on a regular schedule Thursday despite the snow forecast.

The schools will then close early, on a regular early dismissal schedule.

There will be: 

• No afternoon Kindergarten
• No after-school activities
• No after-school NEDP
• No afternoon KASE
• No athletics
• No adult education

According to the National Weather Service, it is expected to snow all day with accumulation of about 5 to 9 inches of fresh snow.

Snow, freezing rain and sleet is expected after later Thursday.

Wind gusts as high as 32 miles per hour are also expected, said the NWS.
