Needham Residents Join BID-Needham Hospital Advisory Board
The hospital announced three new members of the Board of Trustees and ten new members of the Board of Advisors.
NEEDHAM, MA β At the recent Beth Israel Deaconess HospitalβNeedham (BID-Needham) Annual Meeting of the Boards of Trustees and Advisors, the hospital announced three new members of the Board of Trustees and ten new members of the Board of Advisors.
Seven of the new additions are Needham residents.
The group of ten appointed to the Board of Advisors includes Adam Goldberg, M.ED; Kathryn Grannatt, MD; Alex Klemmer; Carrie Leto; Joseph Lipchitz; William Mahoney; Mary βBethβ Manning, MD, MPH; Rich Piltch; Anne Pinto, MD; and John Wright.

"BID Needham is in the midst of a year unlike any other," said John Fogarty, president, BID Needham. "This talented and engaged group of trustees and advisors will be a critical support and an important bridge to the community."
The Annual Meeting featured keynote speaker Gyongyi Szabo, MD, PhD, Hon Scd, Chief Academic Officer, Beth Israel Lahey Health and Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, who spoke about the latest COVID-19 vaccine research and development.

Needham residents joining the Board of Advisors:
- Adam Goldberg: Founder and CEO of Torchlight, a CareTech venture built on the belief that βCaring is everyoneβs business, and caring is good business,β in providing the only complete caregiver support solution for employers, health plans, and other member organizations
- Alex Klemmer: Founder of CycleBar, the first cycling studio in New England started in 2005. By 2014, Ms. Klemmer, along with her brother and partner, led the business in growth to the first multi-studio indoor cycling franchise in the country.
- Carrie Leto: The assistant director of admission at Newton Country Day School. She plans recruitment strategy and works closely with prospective families throughout the application process.
- Joseph Lipchitz: A seasoned litigation partner at the Boston office of Saul Ewing Arnstein & Lehr LLP. Drawing on his more than 20 years of experience as a trial lawyer, including as a military prosecutor, Mr. Lipchitz represents businesses, officers, directors, and high-level executives in the technology, health care, financial services, and media industries in civil litigation nationwide, particularly in high-stakes disputes.
- William Mahoney: A partner of Edelstein & Company LLP, a certified public accounting firm based in Boston. He founded the firmβs health care consulting practice in 1988, and under his leadership it has grown into a premier firm offering physician consulting services.
- Mary βBethβ Manning, MD, MPH: A primary care physician at Beth Israel Deaconess HealthCareβNeedham.
- John Wright: A managing director, credit, at Bain Capital Credit. He joined Bain Capital Credit in 2000. He is also a Credit Committee member, the head of Bain Capital Creditβs CLO/Structured Products Business, and the Portfolio Manager for Bain Capital Structured Credit Fund.
