Needham Storefronts Get Makeover With Local Art

The Storefronts Needham Initiative was organized by Economic Development Manager Amy Haelsen.

NEEDHAM, MA β€” Downtown businesses in Needham are getting a makeover as a new initiative turns vacant storefronts into local art exhibits.

The Storefronts Needham Initiative was organized by Economic Development Manager Amy Haelsen, the Needham Council for Arts and Culture and the Needham Art Association. The first storefront art exhibit is up and located at 1502 Highland Ave, the site of the former Lisa’s Boutique. According to the Newton-Needham Regional Chamber of Commerce, the building owner, Centre Realty Group, donated the space for the pop-up gallery while it works to secure a new tenant for the property.

The storefront will showcase a rotating exhibit featuring different Needham artists who are members of the Needham Art Association.
