Daniel J. Congdon Sr., of South Yarmouth, formerly of Needham, died Jan. 18, 2014.
He was husband of Ann H. Congdon for 63 years.
Daniel was a graduate of Searles High School, Great Barrington, Wharton School of Business and University of Pennsylvania. He was a United States Army Air Force Veteran of World War II. He was chief appraiser of FHA/Hud.
He is survived by his children, Daniel J. Congdon Jr. and his wife Holly of Framingham, Kevin W. Congdon and his wife Brooke of Westwood, Thomas J Congdon and his wife Lynne of Clinton, Conn., Mary Anne Raffol and her husband Robert of Needham, Christine E. Rasmussen and her husband Michael of Groton, Joan M. Congdon and her friend Donald of Dennisport and Patricia M. Reilly and her husband Douglas of Newburyport; his brother, Eugene Congdon and his wife Sharon of Tampa, Fla; his 13 grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his siblings Dr. Frederick and Raymond Congdon.

Funeral from the George F. Doherty & Sons Funeral Home, 1305 Highland Ave., Needham Wednesday, Jan. 22 at 9 a.m. Funeral Mass in St. Joseph Church, Needham, at 10 a.m. Relatives and friends are invited. Visiting hours will be Tuesday, Jan. 21, 4 to 8 p.m. Interment in St. Mary Cemetery, Needham.
