Plugged In Rocks On(line) Auction & Moms and Dads Rock Concert

Upcoming Virtual Events for the Plugged In Band Program

The Plugged In Band Program is hosting an online auction, Plugged In Rocks On(line), sponsored by Middlesex Savings Bank. The auction will begin on November 21, 2020 and items can be viewed and bid on from a link at our website at pluggedinband.org. Featured online auction items will include a weekend at a cottage on a New Hampshire lake, a weekend at a Lincoln Center luxury condo in NYC, artwork, gift certificates to local businesses and restaurants, cooking lessons, karate lessons, and so much more, generously donated by artists, businesses, and dear friends of the Plugged In Band Program.

The auction will be held online from November 21, 2020 through December 5, 2020, culminating in a live auction of a few special items at our Moms and Dads Rock virtual benefit concert from 7:00-11:00 pm on December 5, 2020 on our Plugged In Livestream Channel that you can reach through our website. Please consider bidding on items and doing your holiday shopping with us!

And please join us for our virtual Moms and Dads Rock concert! This is a year without a lot of the holiday parties and get-togethers we are accustomed to, but this concert will definitely provide you with a great night of festive entertainment! It will be a fun night of music, with local bands featuring parents of Plugged In students and some of our extremely talented group of teachers and alumni. The concert is free but, there will be a suggested online donation during the event.

The Plugged In Rocks On(line) Auction and Moms and Dads Rock Concert will benefit the Plugged In Band Program, a non-profit music program serving Needham and the surrounding communities for the last eighteen years. We teach young people how to play music in a rock band and use their music to make a positive change in the world. We have moved all of our programming to a virtual platform to keep our students learning, growing, and connecting with each other in the midst of this challenging year. In addition to ensemble band classes, private lessons, songwriting workshops, summer camp and community performances, five times a year our students perform in benefit concerts that raise money for causes and organizations chosen by the students themselves. Our creative and nurturing environment lets kids feel safe taking risks that result in artistic growth and increased self-confidence throughout their lives. We have recently expanded our programming options to include a virtual Band Program for Adults and an Online Digital Audio Production class for both adults and youth. For more information or to register, please visit our website at pluggedinband.org.

We are committed to including all students regardless of their ability to pay or the costs associated with accommodating our students with special needs. Your support will help us to continue to make our program available to every student who walks through our virtual doors. Please consider helping us continue our mission of creating an inclusive, loving, and diverse community empowered to change the world by participating in Plugged In Rocks On(line) Auction and attending our virtual Moms and Dads Rock Concert!
