NEEDHAM, MA β Here's a sample of some types of calls the Needham Police Department respond to each day from the police logs, which are public. Arrests do not imply conviction and just because someone reports a crime does not mean it happened that way.
Monday, Nov. 4
9:30 p.m.: An officer was dispatched to a Kendrick Street business for an alarm call. A 26-year-old man was identified.

Tuesday, Nov. 5
1:50 a.m.: An officer responded to a B Street business for a report of an intoxicated person in the lobby. A 22-year-old Phoenix, AZ woman was found and after a brief investigation was released to the care and custody of a responsible adult without incident.

Wednesday, Nov. 6
7:45 a.m.: An officer stopped a car on Lincoln Street for an expired registration. After investigating, a 46-year-old woman from Framingham will be summonsed to court for unlicensed operation as well operating with an expired registration.
2:10 pm.: An officer took a report that a car had been vandalized while parked at the Rosemary Way Apartment Building.
3:30 p.m.: A resident of Lawton Road reported that someone had removed a survey stake from his property.
Thursday, Nov. 7
1:35 a.m.: An officer conducted a motor vehicle stop on Highland Avenue. The driver had a suspended license and the 47-year-old Oxford man was placed under arrest for operating with a suspended license.
9:30 a.m.: An officer was dispatched to a business for a reported suspicious person. The person was gone before police arrived. The matter is under investigation.
10:00 a.m.: A Capt. Robert Cook resident filed a fraud report β she said she sent money overseas and never received her package.
8:00 p.m.: A Dedham Avenue resident reported a traffic complaint. The matter is being investigated.
Friday, Nov. 8
11:20 a.m.: A woman said she had her Social Security number stolen. A report was filed, and she was advised.
4:00 p.m. Officers responded to a disturbance at a Perrault Road residence. The man was intoxicated and was placed into protective custody and taken to NPD.
10:40 p.m.: Officers were dispatched to a Greendale Avenue address for a disturbance/loud party. After a brief investigation a 16-year-old will be charged with a single count Chap. 138 Section 34 A/C, Procuring Liquor for a person under 21 years of age.
Saturday, Nov. 9
10:30 a.m. An officer took a larceny report from a Chestnut Street business. Matter is currently under investigation.
2:15 p.m. An officer stopped a motor vehicle for a town bylaw violation. The operator chose to park the vehicle and arrange alternate transportation.
5:15 p.m.: An officer was dispatched to a School located on Central Avenue for a report of vandalism. The officer found one of the bike rack glass dividers had been broken and glass was shattered around the area.
