WATCH: Needham Baseball Overcomes 5-0 Deficit, Wins State Title
The Rockets were able to get the job done in extra innings.

WORCESTER, MA β At 12-8, it can be understandable if Needham wasn't considered among the top picks to win the Division 1 state championship in baseball. But the Rockets got hot when it mattered the most and now they'll have a new banner to hang and a trophy to display.
Despite trailing 5-0, Needham beat St. Peter-Martin 6-5 in eight innings at Holy Cross for the MIAA Division 1 Championship.
Needham fell behind 3-0 in the opening frame and were down five by the third inning. It took a sacrifice fly ball in the fifth inning for the Rockets to get a breakthrough.
