Walnut Grille- got a vegetarian - or vegan - in the house? This is the place to go. They offer gluten free options, as well. For Valentine's Day, they're offering a five course fixe menu for $75. The main course options are a Beyond Meat ravioli - with English peas, San Marzano tomatoes, crispy leaks and maple balsamic reduction or Macadamia crusted tofu with a pea and potato cake, celeriac mustard bisque, charred broccolini and truffle, red pepper chutney. ( Also: One of the dessert choices involves a chocolate raspberry cheesecake.).

Aquitaine Chestnut Hill - This is a French bistro that offers classic cuisine, with a Parisian flair. The Valentine's Day chef specials include a roasted lamb loin with warm pomegranate couscous salad, honey roasted carrots and mint chimichurri or an Arrabiata lobster with linguini, taragon whipped ricotta and toasted brioche crumbs. The desert special? Frangelico chocolate torte.

Lumiere - This will be the last Valentine's Day celebration for this West Newton staple. The restaurant is set to close in the weeks ahead. But before it goes, you can head in for a three course prix fixe menu at $80 per person. The main course selections include five choices such as pan roasted Scottish salmon, with glazed root vegetables, tarragon, creme fraiche and vermouth broth, Duck a l'orange duo, with orange glazed confit, sliced breast, sauteed spinach and gilfeather turnip puree, or ribeye club with wild mushrooms, Brussels spouts, diced potatoes, confit garlic, micro parsley and foie gras butter. Good luck choosing from one of five options for dessert, including dark chocolate mousse with salted caramel and pistachio, or creme brulee among those choices.
