Andy Ross Dilley Marshall, 82, Longtime Newton Resident, Community Member and Athlete
A memorial service will be held at Grace Episcopal Church in Newton, MA on Saturday, May 18.

Andy Ross Dilley Marshall, 82, of New London, N.H., passed away on March 2 at her home.Β
Marshall was born in the Lake District of England, but lived much of her life in Newton, according to her obituary.
She earned degrees fromΒ Huyton Girls College, England and attended the University of California at Berkelee.

Marshall was aΒ top twenty player on the U.S. Tennis Circuit and was Wimbledon Tournament and Forest Hills player.
She helped create "World Tennis" magazine and was the publication's first editor and writer. She also went on to found the Newton-based organization Community Ventures, which helped provide educational school field trips for students.Β

Marshall, a devoted member of Grace Episcopal Church in Newton,Β was awarded Freedoms Foundation Schoolman's Award in 1974 for creating an innovative elementary school program. She also received the "Newton City Award" for her community service, her obituary read.
Donations in Marshall's name can be sent to Compassionate Care Hospice, 25 Nashua Road #E3, Londonderry, NH 03053. A memorial service for Marshall will be held at Grace Episcopal Church, 76 Eldridge Street, Newton, MA, at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, May 18.
