NORWOOD, MA β Norwoodβs annual town election is Monday, April 5, with contested seats for the school committee, trustee of the library, and for the town planning board. Polls are open from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m.
David Hiltz and Ben Moser are running to become members of the school committee. Hiltz said in a post on his campaignβs Facebook that his three priorities would be working to get students back in school in-person five days per week in the fall, progressing with the Coakley Middle School project, and making school start time transitions smooth.
Moser is the parent of a first grader and said in a Facebook post that he knows what itβs like to try to make online learning work for kids. As a school committee member, he said, he would advocate for the district to get what it needs from the state to reopen safely.
