Black Lives Matter Lawn Signs Go Missing In Newton

A sign that read "change" and a sign that represented fallen firefighters also went missing, according to Newton police.

NEWTON, MA β€”Several residents have reported signs with slogans supporting the racial justice movement have gone missing from their front lawns.

A resident called police around noon on July 5 to report a sign that read β€œChange,” was taken from Langdon Street. Two other people called to report β€œBlack Lives Matter” signs were taken from front lawns on Cabot Street and Narrative Park Avenue the following day July 6, police said.

A few days later on July 11 a Kimball Terrace resident reported that a β€œThin Red Line” sign honoring firefighters who have fallen in the line of duty had been taken from his front lawn, police said.
