Boston Ballet School Breaks Ground on Relocated Newton Studio

The school is moving from its Washington Street studio to the Newton Nexus complex.

NEWTON, MA – The process to relocate Boston Ballet School in Newton from its Washington Street studio to the newly developed Newton Nexus complex has officially begun.

The school held a groundbreaking ceremony at its new location, 153 Needham St., on Thursday, becoming the latest tenant to join the burgeoning development at the former TripAdvisor site. According to Boston Business Journal, developer Crosspoint Associates is overhauling the property into a 142,000-square-foot retail complex, which also houses TJ Maxx, bfresh, Sierra Trading Post, Qdoba, Boston Ski & Tennis and Anthony’s Coal Fired Pizza.

With the relocation comes an expansion, as the studio will add two studios to its existing five. The new complex will also provide extra parking and surrounding amenities for families.
