Car Crashes Into Building At Chestnut Hill's The Street

​A car crashed through the window of a tile store in Chestnut Hill Tuesday.

NEWTON, MA β€” A car crashed into through a window of a tile store in Chestnut Hill Tuesday.

The red sedan drove through the glass window and hit a beam at the Porcelanoso tile store at 55 Boylston St.

Police said no one was injured, as a tow truck removed the sedan and a man swept shattered glass from the sidewalk.

" [The] car hit store front windows and caused minor cosmetic damage, " said Lt. Michael Bianchi, a spokesperson for the Newton fire department. "They will have to replace the glass, but [there was] no structural damage.

An older woman was behind the wheel.

The building is situated in Chestnut Hill's The Street shopping district.
