Downtown Abbey Costume On Display In Chestnut Hill
Movie goers can check out an official costume worn by Maggie Smith as the Dowager Countess at the SuperLux in Chestnut Hill.

NEWTON, MA β If you're looking to get your Downton Abbey fix now that the movie is out, SuperLux Chestnut Hill is hoping you'll buy your ticket at their theaters, and they're doing a few extra things to get the attention of potential movie goers to make it an experience.
Boston fans excited to see the movie that came out recently can check out an official costume worn by Maggie Smith as the Dowager Countess of Grantham in the film at Showcase SuperLux Chestnut Hill on their way into the movie. Designed by acclaimed costume designer Anna Mary Scott Robbins, the costume is the only one on display on the east coast, and will be on display until Oct 2.
Downton Abbey follows the lives of the Crawley family and the servants who worked for them at the turn of the 20th century in an Edwardian English country house. The movie picks up right where we left the Crawleyβs when the hit TV show ended.

In an effort to cater to those die-hard Downton Abbey fans, SuperLux has brought in food and beverages inspired by the series. They're also giving away 8 oz champagne flutes with ticket purchases of the movie at Showcase SuperLux, Legacy Place, Woburn and North Attleboro.
SuperLux officials said Boston area folks are particularly fond of the Downton Abbey television series and that's why the film studio, Focus Features, selected the Showcase Superlux to be the one spot on the East Coast to bring in the costume.

Showcase SuperLux is sending the costume back to the studio in early October. It will not be exhibited anywhere else in the Boston area in the near future, according to cinema officials.
