An author event, tax help and a special lacrosse game.

1.Β Vicki Cain - "Travels with Judy."Β Author Vicki Cain will discuss her bookΒ "Travels with Judy"Β this afternoon at theΒ New England Mobile Book Fair. The reading and discussion is free and starts at 1 p.m. Cain will also sign books after the event.
2. Go Lions! The Newton South boys varsity baseball team will play two home games today -- the first against Thayer Academy at 10 a.m. and the second against Medford at noon.
3.Β Need tax help?Β The AARP Tax-Aide Foundation will have trained volunteers on hand on Saturdays from 9:30 a.m. - noon at theΒ Newton Free LibraryΒ now through April 13. All of the volunteers are IRS certified and will be ready to answer questions related to regular (non-business) taxes. Patrons will be assisted on a first-come, first-serve basis. Volunteers will help fill out tax forms for anyone with moderate or low income (less than $40,000 if single or $60,000 if filing a joint return).Β

4.Β Special BC lacrosse game.Β During the women's lacrosse game tomorrow, March 30, Boston College and its athletic program will honor Welles Crowther, a former BC men's lacrosse player and a 1999 BC graduate who was killed in the Sept. 11, 2001 terrorist attacks. The "#19 Red Bandana Game" starts at 1 p.m. and will be held at the Newton Campus. Admission is free.
