Five Things You Need to Know Today: May 10

Some Shakespeare, a "Kids Night Out" and the last day for this Newton editor.

1. "A Midsummer Night's Dream." The annual Newton North/Newton South Shakespeare production kicked off yesterday and will continue tonight with another show at 7:30 p.m. This year's performance: "A Midsummer Night's Dream." If you can't make tonight's show, check out the matinee tomorrow at 2 p.m. The show will be held at Newton South High School and tickets are $8 (available online).

2.Β Tomorrow: Newton Community Farm Seedling Sale. The annual Seedling Sale at the Newton Community Farm will be held tomorrow from noon - 3 p.m.Β Choose from a wide array of vegetable and herb varieties. Cost isΒ $5 for four or six pack of plants. Cash or checks only. Bring a box or bag to carry your plants.

3. Kids' Night Out. The West Suburban YMCA will host a "Kids' Night Out" tonight from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m.Β Bring your children (ages 7 to 13) to the Y for fun and supervised Friday night drop-in program. The Y orders pizza for dinner and entertains your children with games, swimming, movies and sports. It’s not just Kids’ Night Out; it’s a parent’s night out, too. $25 for members and $30 for non-members (20% sibling discount).
