Jon Lester Sells Newton Home
The former Red Sox pitcher is weighing an offer to return to the team, though the real estate move would suggest otherwise.

The former Boston Red Sox pitcher, whoβs considering signing a long-term deal to come back to Boston, this month sold his Newton home for $1.85 million, according to the Los Angeles Times.
The move would seem to suggest that Lester has his sights set on other teams.

The Boston Globeβs Nick Cafardo reported the Red Sox have offered Lester a 6-year, $120 million deal. Lester plans to meet with the Chicago Cubs and Atlanta Braves this week, according to ESPN. Lester has a home in Atlanta.
Lesterβs home at 7 Bernard St. was listed for $1.85 million. It has four bedrooms, five bathrooms, a wine cellar, and workshop. Here are some photos from rexwaltham.com:

Lester, who led the Red Sox to two World Series titles, was traded to the Oakland Athletics in August. The Red Sox missed the playoffs, while the Aβs clinched a wild card berth but lost in a one-game playoff in which Lester started.
