The old standard porches and sunrooms no longer satisfy todaysβ homeowner. Instead, creating functional outdoor space that is an extension of your home, as well as sunrooms that can be used during multiple seasons throughout the year are the latest trends. Lighting
Good lighting changes and transforms a space. We use light and shade to make a room feel comfortable but also dramatic and atmospheric. Trends in lighting include dimmers, recessed lighting, more windows and doors so light can shine through, and smart technology.

Kitchen Islands
With larger kitchens, the kitchen island has become an essential feature. Not only does it add plenty of prep space, but there is room for ample storage, seating, and congregating while entertaining. We are even seeing islands with attached dining tables and a pair of islands becoming an expansive addition when space is no object.
