MIAA Football Tournament: Newton North, Brockton First Round Set

NEWTON, MA — Newton North, which is seeded sixth, will be taking on third-seeded Brockton Friday night in the first round of the MIAA Div. 1 South football tournament. The game kicks off at 5 p.m. in Brockton, according to the bracket.

North snuck in at 3-4, while Brockton flipped that script at 4-3. The victor will play the winner of the Franklin-Attleboro game.

The team will leave North at 3 p.m. to head to Brockton.

The Tigers' athletic director did not respond to request for comment.
